Who’s E. D. Baker?
Have you ever just picked up a book and just read it? Did you even realize who wrote the book? Have you ever read The Frog Princess or the series if it? Do you realize who wrote the book? Yup, that’s right, she is E. D. Baker. She wrote the series of the frog princess. The books that she wrote are The Frog Princess, Dragon’s Breath, Once upon a Curse, and No Place for Magic. All of those 4 books are written by E. D. Baker.
When E. D. Baker was 4 years old, she held up a little tree frog in her backyard. She loved frogs ever since. When she grew up and knew how to read, she picked up the book The Frog Prince, not The Frog Princess and started to read. When she read to the part where the princess kissed the frog and the frog turned into a handsome prince, she asked herself, “What if the princess kissed the frog and she’s the one that changed into a frog?” Baker could not stand a princess in a fairytale that could not solve her own problems and needed the prince to help solve her problem. It’s as if the princess couldn’t do anything by herself. She always needed the prince to help her.
So Baker started thinking about writing a book about how a princess kissed a frog and is changed into a frog. So she wrote The Frog Princess (her 1 st book). Many people read and liked it. She wrote another book called Dragon’s Breath (2 nd book) and then wrote Once upon a Curse (her 3 rd book) and also wrote No Place for Magic (4 th book). She is currently writing the 5 th book. Now everyone wants to know whether Emma and Eadric will get married in the 5 th book.
E. D. Baker lives in Maryland, USA. She has a home for three horses, two dogs, three cats, and a goat named Malcolm. Ms. Baker has had many interesting jobs: teacher, parrot caretaker at a garden centre, member of the Red Cross Disaster Team. But her true love is writing.... So that’s E. D. Baker!!
